How did you find out about Get Loose?

I have lived near the farm for almost 5 years but only found out about Get Loose 2 years ago, by randomly visiting the farm during the opening times of the shop. The rest is history, Get Loose is the shop I visited the most for my groceries in 2020! 

What is your role and what does it involve?

I volunteered since July 2020, you can find me behind the till usually on Wednesday evening. I absolutely love the interaction with the shoppers (Get Loosers?!), it is so nice to meet people who have the same interest in reducing their impact on the environment.

We often have a chat and a laugh and I enjoy telling shoppers about quirky items that we sell which they may not know about like, Carlin peas, Loofa sponges and sunflower mince. 

What is your Favourite product and why? 

I love everything that is sold at Get Loose but I would choose the Carlin peas as my favourite since they grow in the UK, are similar to chick peas (which grow abroad) and although they are not as famous as chick peas (Yet!), they make for delicious falafels! 

If you could promote Get Loose on Tube advert what would you say?

“Don’t be a Loser, be a Get Looser” ;)
