How did you find out about Get Loose?

I have been living in Hoxton for 5 years now (5 min walking distance from Hackney farm). Being a bit of a green-fingered and animal person, I like to pop in to see animals and buy free range eggs. That is how I found the shop. Always wanted to get involved but never had time. 

What is your role and what does it involve?

I do whatever is needed at the time. While we are in lockdown we have to pre-pack loose goods in order to keep our customers and staff safe. So some behind the scenes shifts happens, and also I do quite a bit of so-called ''till'' shifts, where I have a chance to meet our locals, regulars and new customers. 

Why do you love Get Loose?

I love the whole idea of shopping and saving the planet at the same time. 

Why do you enjoy volunteering?

What is there not to enjoy!

I'm a people person and ''Get Loose” gives you plenty opportunities to meet such different personas, be it volunteers, or our customers, also members of the farm family. 

Being surrounded by nature and animals sounds :) adds another benefit. 

Every time when I'm volunteering I get to learn something new. So, yes as you can guess I'm trying to be around a lot :)

What is your Favourite product and why? 

It's a difficult question, thinking how many products we have in the shop. Anyhow, I think it has to be yogurt from @kappacasein, the taste is just right. I do also enjoy eggs from @rookeryfarm, happy chickens give you happy and tasty eggs. 

If you could promote Get Loose on Tube advert what would you say?

I would have a picture of our mother planet suffocating in a plastic bag with a sad/tired face and slogan would say - Let the Planet loose!
